About

Sena's portrait

I am a graphic designer and illustrator from Japan, offering unique colours and visual solutions. I strive to create designs that have a positive impact on the people who see them in their daily lives.
At Humber College, through interactive design and accessibility, I learned the need to keep in mind my current passion, design that is legible and readable for all audiences.
Prior to that, I also earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Kyoritsu Women's University in Japan. As a result of my studies, I began to explore colour and combine shapes to create playful whole pieces, which is reflected in my design process.
After the university, I had seemingly different careers as a graphic designer and in customer support in Japan, but those experiences have taught me the importance of always listening to my clients.

On a personal level, for the past 10 years, I have been creating illustrations under the artist name “Yuki Mado” using a combination of acrylic, pastel, and digital techniques.
